Managed IT services

Your whole IT estate, run like it matters

Helpdesk support keeps your people working. Managed IT services keep the business itself moving forward. That means the cloud platforms, servers, devices, automation and long-term planning behind everything, looked after by one managed service provider with a roadmap and a budget you can see.

Beyond the helpdesk

IT run as a service, not a string of emergencies

Most small businesses buy technology in bursts: a new server when the old one dies, a hurried move to the cloud during a crisis, laptops bought one at a time from whoever had stock. Each decision makes sense on the day. Together they leave an estate nobody fully understands.

Managed IT services turn that around. We take responsibility for the platforms your business runs on, keep them documented and monitored, and agree a rolling roadmap with you. Upgrades are planned, costed and scheduled, and nothing arrives as an emergency invoice.

  • A single, documented picture of every system, licence and device you own
  • A 12-month roadmap reviewed with you regularly, with costs attached
  • Proactive replacement before hardware fails, not after
  • One accountable partner for cloud, devices, servers and suppliers

What changes

What changes when your IT is managed properly

  • 01

    You know what you have

Every device, licence, password vault and supplier contract recorded in one place, and kept current.

  • 02

    Costs become predictable

A monthly fee for running things, and a costed roadmap for everything else. Budgets stop being a guess.

  • 03

    Failures become rare

Monitoring and lifecycle planning replace kit before it dies, usually at a time that suits you.

  • 04

    Growth gets easier

New staff, new sites and new software slot into a set-up designed to scale, not one held together by workarounds.

FAQ

Managed IT services, explained

Can’t see your question? Call 01843 482 279 or email hello@squareoneit.co.uk. You’ll get a straight answer from an engineer.

What is a managed service provider (MSP)?

An MSP takes ongoing responsibility for some or all of your IT for a fixed monthly fee, rather than charging for individual jobs. SquareOne IT is an MSP based in Broadstairs, supporting businesses across Kent.

How are managed IT services priced?

Day-to-day management is included in our per-device plans (from £23 per device per month, excluding VAT). Larger pieces of work, such as a cloud migration, server replacement or automation project, are scoped and quoted separately so you always see the cost before agreeing.

Do we still need a server?

Often not. Many small businesses can move files, email and apps to Microsoft 365 and cloud services, which removes a single point of failure. Some line-of-business software still needs a server, and then we’ll help you choose between a well-managed on-site server and a cloud-hosted one.

Can you take over systems another company set up?

Yes. We start by documenting what’s there, securing admin access and fixing anything urgent. Then we plan the improvements into your roadmap rather than rebuilding everything at once.

How often will we review our IT with you?

We agree a review rhythm that suits the size of your business, typically quarterly, covering what’s been done, what’s coming up, risks and budget.
