Mobile device management
Every device secured, wherever it goes
Your business data travels on phones in pockets, tablets in vans and laptops on trains. Mobile device management (MDM) puts every one of them under one security policy: encrypted, passcode-protected, kept up to date, and wipeable in minutes if it goes missing. New devices arrive ready to use.

Zero-touch set-up
New laptop, unboxed at home, ready in minutes
With Windows Autopilot and Intune, a new laptop can be sent straight from the supplier to a new starter’s home. They switch it on, sign in with their work account, and it configures itself: security settings, apps, Wi-Fi, printers and all. No IT visit, no afternoon of setup.
Phones work the same way. Company iPhones and Android devices enrol automatically, with work email and apps in place.

What MDM gives you
Control without micromanagement
-
Encryption & passcodes
Every device encrypted and locked, so a lost phone isn’t a data breach.
-
Updates enforced
Operating system updates applied on schedule. Out-of-date devices can be blocked from company data.
-
Approved apps
Business apps pushed out automatically, and risky apps kept away from company data.
-
Remote lock & wipe
Lost or stolen? Locked or wiped remotely, often before anyone could get in.
-
Inventory
Know exactly which devices you own, who has them and whether they’re compliant.
-
Leavers handled
Company data removed from a leaver’s device on their last day, cleanly.
Personal phones (BYOD)
Protect company data without touching personal photos
Not everyone wants a work phone. With app protection policies, staff can use Outlook and Teams on their own phone while company data stays in a protected container: it can’t be copied into personal apps, and it can be removed remotely without touching anything personal.
FAQ
Device management questions
Can’t see your question? Call 01843 482 279 or email hello@squareoneit.co.uk. You’ll get a straight answer from an engineer.
What do we need for Intune?
Intune is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium, which also brings conditional access and stronger security. We can move you to it as part of setting up MDM.
Can you see staff’s personal information?
No. On personal devices, MDM only manages the work apps and data. We can’t see personal photos, messages or browsing.
Do you manage iPhones and Macs as well as Windows?
Yes. Intune manages Windows, iOS, iPadOS, Android and macOS, and we’ll set policies appropriate to each.
Is MDM needed for Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials requires in-scope devices to be securely configured, updated and protected. MDM is the practical way to enforce and evidence that across a team.
How many devices hold your data?
We’ll help you find out, and bring every one of them under a sensible, secure policy.
