Managed wireless
Wi-Fi that reaches every room, every time
If your team moves chairs to get a signal, or video calls freeze in the meeting room, the problem is almost never your broadband. It’s the Wi-Fi. We survey your building, design coverage around how you use it, install business-grade access points and monitor them around the clock.

Why office Wi-Fi struggles
The five usual reasons your Wi-Fi is bad
-
01
One router doing everything
The box your broadband provider sent was built for a house, not 20 people on video calls.
-
02
Access points in the wrong place
Mounted where the cable happened to be, rather than where people actually work.
-
03
Walls that block signal
Brick, stone, concrete, foil-backed insulation and lift shafts all absorb Wi-Fi.
-
04
Crowded channels
Neighbouring businesses on the same frequencies, so everyone slows everyone down.
-
05
No roaming
Laptops cling to a distant access point instead of switching to the nearest one.
-
06
Nobody watching
An access point fails and nobody knows until a whole floor complains.
Survey first
We measure before we install
Every managed wireless project starts with a site survey. We measure signal strength, interference and how the building absorbs Wi-Fi, then plan access point positions, channels and power levels to give strong coverage where it’s needed, including the kitchen, the yard and the meeting room at the far end.
You get a clear plan and a fixed quote before any work starts. After installation, we measure again to prove the coverage.

FAQ
Business Wi-Fi questions
Can’t see your question? Call 01843 482 279 or email hello@squareoneit.co.uk. You’ll get a straight answer from an engineer.
Won’t a mesh system from a shop do the job?
For a small home, maybe. In a business, consumer mesh kit usually struggles with the number of devices, doesn’t separate guests properly, can’t be monitored centrally and is rarely updated. Business access points are designed for exactly those jobs.
How many access points do we need?
It depends on the building and how many people and devices use each area, not just floor space. A survey gives a reliable answer. Guessing usually means too few in the wrong places.
Can guests use our Wi-Fi safely?
Yes. Guest Wi-Fi runs on a separate network with internet-only access, so visitors can’t see your computers, printers or files. It can have its own password, splash page and speed limits.
Do access points need cabling?
Business access points work best with a network cable, which also powers them. Where cabling is difficult, such as in listed buildings, some can link wirelessly, and we’ll plan the best mix.
